Heat Sink
Multiple thin fin design allows greater heat dissipation. It’s highly efficient design creates more thermal management with less overall weight, a significant factor plaguing older style lighting fixtures.
Dimmability
A key innovation in the iPar38 is the ability to dim digitally using patent pending “PSOCK” technology. This technology works with virtually all types of dimmers including the digital ones such as Lutron.
Managed Drive Current
At 10 watts, the iPAR38 uses only 300 millipamps, 12 watts- 350 milliamps, and 16 watts- 500 milliamps. The CREE LED’s are rated for 750 milliamps. This lower current usage combined with superior Heat Sink Technology assures long term thermal control even in sealed IC cans without loss of light output.
Optics
Patent pending custom optic design creates maximum CPCP without loss of peripheral lighting. Each LED is individually focused to create a symmetrical beam pattern that has superior intensity, without watermarks, shadows or lines.
Power Supply
With a power factor of greater than .95, the double stage constant current power supply maximizes efficiency, reduces surge damage and provides a universal 85 watt to 265 watt conversion.
